Henlow Bridge Lakes

Cosy cabin fishing breaks.

Our fishing 2020 season re-opens to the public on February 17th and the opening hours will be from 08.00 to 16.30, seven days a week. We look forward to welcoming all new and returning anglers to our popular venue. Please park safely and report to the shop at the entrance where we will check you in and you can top up your maggots or buy some bait.

We also have coffee and fresh food available all day.

The lads have been working hard on all our lakes over winter and can be seen below clearing weed from our small canal lakes.

We've have had people fishing during the winter who have been guests on the main campsite and if you fancy a cabin (pictured above) break yourself with all your fishing included, have a look at the offer below, but hurry, as it finishes at the end of March.

Take a break from Monday to Friday, or from Friday to Monday for the special discounted price of only £180 per cabin for up to four people.

This offer can ONLY be booked directly by phone.

When our phone lines are busy, or outside office hours you can use the contact form quoting CABIN180 and we will call you back ASAP. The discounted offer is available until Monday 30th March 2020.

Our cabins are situated on the canal lakes pictured below and were re-modelled last season for added comfort and include your personal fishing pontoon... or you can wander down to the big lakes and try your luck there. Click here for cabin brochures

LPG available to the left of the building (open to the public). Anglers toilets and wet room in the centre (3 green doors)

In the background are our big lakes (click image for further info about our lakes), the smaller canal lakes are in the centre and you can also see our cabins and the row of luxury Lodges at the bottom of the picture. Our new LPG filling station is to the left of the Haywards building on the right of the picture.

When you arrive we will allow you timed access to the lakes VIA our ANPR security gate systems when you have purchased your fishing tickets. You exit by the same route, but please make sure you know the time the gates are locked, or your exit will be denied and you will be waiting for a warden to let you out!

Guests who are staying on-site with us have 24 hr access once registered on the system.

Over the last few years, we have seen extensive damage to our swims and margins which had become a serious health and safety concern, so for that reason, as previously published in August 2019, we have now banned the use of bank sticks on our site.

Please follow our rules whilst on site and make sure you have brought a landing net and unhooking mat (we can hire them to you). You must also follow all instructions from any member of staff, keep your swim tidy and put all litter in the bins provided as you leave, or you will be risking a ban.

We run a catch and release fishery, all fish must be treated with care and returned to the water unharmed and as quickly as possible.

No fish may be taken from our site.

We have been rated 4.9 out of 5 in our Facebook reviews and we find that our angling visitors love to post their catches on there, so head over to our page and click the like button to keep up to date with us.

"Lovely place very peaceful, fishing is great and the site is well looked after and the staff are amazing.

I have been coming here for 10 years now and love it". Paul Schofield September 2019

In our next blog we will be telling you who else we have got booked for our amazing Tribute Festival, so keep your eye on Facebook and your inbox for our mailshots.

Special thanks to warden David for all the pictures on this blog post.
